Nuits St.Georges Domaine Michel Noellat 2020

A single-varietal Pinot Noir cuvée made from 50 year-old vines planted on a 1.60 hectare plot of clay limestone soil.  This 2020 Red Nuit-Saint-Georges is one of the estate's flagship cuvées; a wine on the fruit that is both powerful and harmonious. The colour is intense red and on the nose is fresh and pleasant, peppery nots and aromas of red fruits, blackcurrant, cherries, almost jammy.  On the palate it is harmonious and powerful and the tannins are smooth and melted.  This will go perfectly with a rib of beef, duck breast or a selection of cheese.
